I look
forward to
the annual
Romance
Writers of
America
conference,
and this
year's
event definitely
didn't
disappoint.
It was
beyond
wonderful to
be able to
reconnect
with old
friends I
only see
once a
year. Sleep
went out the
door as I
rose early
and retired
late to get
in as much
visiting as
I could. I
also
attended
loads of fun
events -
both
scheduled
and
unscheduled,
had a nice
turnout for
the workshop
I presented
and just
generally
worked hard
at enjoying
myself <g>.
I took loads
of pictures,
the best of
which I've
posted to my
PHOTO
page.
Now that
I've had a
few weeks to
rest, I'm
beginning to
look forward
to the
American
Christian
Fiction
Writers
Conference
that will be
held in late
September.
Stay tuned
for reports
on how it
goes/went.
I can't
believe the
summer is
winding down
already. It
seems like
my three
youngest
just came
home from
college and
now they're
only a few
weeks away
from heading
back. The
house will
soon grow
quiet
again. I
miss them
when they're
not here but
I also look
forward to
hubby and I
finding time
to get
reacquainted
with each
other in the
quiet times
of Fall.
I've got a
new favorite
quote I
picked up
recently,
one that has
to do with a
subject near
and dear to
my heart.
"Friends
are those
people who
know the
words to the
song in your
heart and
sing them
back to you
when you
have
forgotten
the words."

And I can't
think of a
better line
to leave you
on. Until
next
month....
