Hello everyone. 2010 is off and running and it promises to bring with it lots of changes. First off, after 34+ years of working a full time day job, I will be retiring at the end of February. Which, besides giving me more time and energy to devote to my writing, also gives me time to focus on some other fun activities I've been neglecting. Another event that I'm really looking forward to is the release of my next book, The Heart's Song, which will represent two firsts for me. The Heart's Song will be my first contemporary and will be my first book to be set in my home state of Louisiana. I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
And I've been busy with writing-related 'extra curriculars' as well. In early January I conducted an online class over on the eharlequin forum on the topic of How To Compose An Online Pitch. It was lots of fun interacting with all the great folks over there. I'm also scheduled to speak at two upcoming writers' conferences. I'll again be doing my pitch workshop at the Written In The Stars Conference in Shreveport, LA on March 5th. And on March 26th I be presenting a workshop on 'Taming The Butterflies' with the wonderful Liz Talley at the New England Writers' Conference in Boston.
